Design and construction of a dedicated gallery space for Edvard Eriksen’s sculpture, The Little Mermaid. The project focuses on creating a narrative-driven spatial experience that immerses visitors in the atmosphere of the tale. For this scenography project, I chose Edvard Eriksen's sculpture ‘The Little Mermaid’. My layout of the building focuses on the visitor's experience. Upon entering, the narrow corridor in which they walk immerses them in an oppressive world. They then discover the sculpture standing on several rocks, surrounded by curtains reminiscent of the sea and topped by a canvas hanging from the ceiling, imitating waves. Upon exiting, they are offered two choices via two corridors: remain human by passing through the rocky corridor, or become a mermaid by passing through the corridor decorated with undulating blue walls.
Pour ce projet de scénographie, j'ai choisi la sculpture « La Petite Sirène » d'Edvard Eriksen. Mon agencement du bâtiment met l'accent sur l'expérience du visiteur. Dès leur entrée, le couloir étroit dans lequel ils s'engagent les plonge dans un univers oppressant. Ils découvrent alors la sculpture posée sur plusieurs rochers, entourée de rideaux évoquant la mer et surmontée d'une toile suspendue au plafond, imitant les vagues. À la sortie, deux choix s'offrent à eux via deux couloirs : rester humain en empruntant le couloir rocheux, ou devenir une sirène en empruntant le couloir décoré de murs bleus ondulés.
